Frequently Asked Questions:

About the Product

Q: Is this a child’s toy or an adult’s toy?
A: Our Big Bubble Kit is designed for ages 14 and up. It’s made for adults to enjoy — and to entertain children, family, and friends with amazing giant bubbles.

Learning to Use It

Q: How long does it take to learn how to make bubbles? Is it difficult?
A: Anyone can make big bubbles right away! Some people find it easy from the start, while others may need a little practice — but that’s part of the fun.

The Bubble Solution

Q: How long does one batch of the 2-part solution last after mixing?
A: When stored in a sealed container between uses, your mixed solution can last 3–4 weeks.

Q: Is the solution environmentally friendly?
A: Yes! All ingredients are biodegradable, non-toxic, and contain no preservatives.

Q: Is the solution safe for children and pets?
A: The solution is safe for use around children and pets, but it’s not meant for eating. Keep dogs and other animals at a distance — even though it’s non-toxic, it’s best they don’t come into direct contact.

Q: Can I use this solution in bubble guns or bubble machines?
A: No. The solution is specifically formulated for large bubble wands and kits. It’s too thick for bubble guns or machines and may cause damage.

Q: How important is it to mix the solution at a temperature of 93–95°F (34–35°C)?
A: For the best bonding and elasticity, mix your solution between 90–95°F (32–35°C). Temperatures above 95°F (35°C) can damage the bonding and reduce performance.

Use and Care

Q: Is it necessary to clean the ropes and wands after each use?
A: Yes. Always rinse thoroughly with clean water after use and keep wands fully extended until completely dry to prevent residue or mold buildup.

Q: Can I use the Big Bubble Kit and solution at the beach?
A: Absolutely! Beaches are a great place for big bubbles. Just be mindful near the water — never pour leftover solution into oceans, lakes, or rivers.

Q: Can I use the Bubble Kit and solution indoors?
A: No. The solution is not intended for indoor use — it creates slippery surfaces and can be difficult to clean up.

Q: Can I use the Bubble Kit on pavement or concrete (like driveways or roads)?
A: Not recommended. The solution can make flat surfaces extremely slippery. It’s safest to use on grass or gravel, but still be cautious to avoid slips and falls.

Q: What should I do if I drop the ropes on the ground while making bubbles?
A: Rinse the ropes thoroughly with clean water before continuing to prevent dirt or debris from contaminating your solution.

Q: How should I dispose of old or rancid solution?
A: You can safely pour it down a sink or flush it down the toilet. All ingredients are biodegradable and safe for disposal.

Weather & Environment

Q: When is the best time of day to make bubbles?
A: Mornings and evenings are best! Avoid direct sunlight during midday, as cooler, calmer conditions help bubbles last longer.

Q: What are the ideal bubble-making conditions?
A: The best results happen in cool, calm, and slightly humid conditions — typically mornings or evenings before dark. Avoid direct sunlight.

Q: Can I use the Big Bubble Kit when it’s windy?
A: Gentle breezes are fine, but strong winds make it harder.

  • The small loop rope works best up to about 15 km/h winds.

  • The medium and large loop ropes are best in winds under 10 km/h.

Q: What weather conditions are not good for making bubbles?
A: Avoid making bubbles during rain, drought, dusty or smoky air, or in direct summer sunlight (midday to mid-afternoon).

Q: Do bugs like mosquitoes, wasps, or flies affect bubbles?
A: Yes — they sometimes fly into the bubbles, which can cause them to pop!

Q: What should I do if someone accidentally swallows the solution or gets it in their eyes?
A:

  • If swallowed: Drink a glass of water to dilute it.

  • If it gets in the eyes: Wipe, blink several times, or rinse with clean, cool water.
Seek medical attention if irritation or discomfort occurs (extremely rare).

Pro Tips for the Best Bubbles

1. Mix at the Right Temperature
Warm 4 liters of water (tap or distilled) to 93–95°F (34–35°C) before mixing. This temperature helps the ingredients bond perfectly for strong, stretchy bubbles. Mixing below this range still works, but going above can reduce elasticity.

2. Mix in Stages
Mix the powder portion first, then let it sit for up to 24 hours before adding the liquid portion. This improves bonding and increases bubble elasticity.

3. Choose the Right Location
Making bubbles near a lake, river, or ocean where a light breeze comes off the water keeps bubbles hydrated and helps create the biggest, longest-lasting bubbles.
Alternatively, bubble-making is great after rain when the ground is damp — just watch your footing!

4. Warm the Solution Before Use
Reheat the solution before use by placing the container in a sink of hot water or resting a hot water bottle under it. Bring it back to 90–95°F (32–35°C) — no higher — to maximize elasticity.

5. Rinse Ropes Before Use
Rinse your ropes in clean water before dipping to prevent contamination and ensure consistent performance.
